Welsh Castles Relay 2013

Eryri have been accepted as one of the 62 teams for this year’s Welsh Castles Relay (8th/9th June).  Quite a few teams were turned down!

We require 20 Eryri Harriers to run, one each leg in this prestigious event.

The Welsh Castles Relay is a 2 day, 20 stage, 211 mile, staggered relay race (mostly on road, but with many hills, mountains and bumpy bits en route). The route goes from Caernarfon to Cardiff with an overnight stay in Newtown. The race is organised by Les Croupiers Running Club, Cardiff.  All the event details are here www.lescroupierswcr.org/welcome-wcr/
If any of you are interested in running one of the legs, could you please contact Arwel Lewis by email or phone so that he can get everything coordinated with time to spare instead of the last minute as has happened on the other two occasions that Arwel has had to cope with managing this event for the club.

We will have a mini bus for the two days of the event so that we can follow the relay all the way down to Cardiff with the option of staying in Cardiff for a bit of a do after the event. First day stop in Newtown Leisure Centre or a nearby B&B/Hotel if we can get the bookings done as soon as people have committed to the event.
